Project Overview

A class final short film where I was responsible for capturing production audio and supporting post-production through dialogue syncing and audio organization. My role focused on ensuring clean on-set recordings and maintaining alignment between sound and picture.

Creative Contribution

Because the film relied on clear dialogue delivery, production sound quality was essential. My focus was ensuring usable, production-ready audio that reduced post-production correction time and supported smooth editing.

Production Sound Responsibilities

  • Operated boom microphone during principal photography

  • Captured clean dialogue while maintaining proper mic placement outside of frame

  • Adjusted positioning based on actor movement and camera composition

  • Monitored audio levels in real time to prevent clipping or underexposure

  • Ensured consistent vocal capture across multiple takes

Audio Sync & Post Support

  • Assisted in syncing dialogue to picture during editing

  • Reviewed takes to ensure accurate lip-sync alignment

  • Helped organize production audio files for efficient editorial workflow

  • Flagged inconsistent or problematic takes for correction

  • Maintained continuity in dialogue tone between scenes
